Aims Community College (Greeley) has certificate programs in green and sustainable building, solar, geothermal, and wind technologies.
Arapahoe Community College (Littleton) provides Energy Technology Certificate programs provide training at the technician level for solar photovoltaics, solar thermal, residential energy auditing, and LEED exam preparation.
Colorado Northwestern Community College (Rangely and Craig campuses) offers a two-year associate’s degree in natural resources management that covers natural resource principles and management, geographic information systems and global positioning systems, ecology, biodiversity, sustainability, and ecosystem management.
Front Range Community College’s (FRCC) (various locations) Clean Energy Technology program prepares students for entry-level work in cleantech (manufacturing fundamentals, safety, engineering materials, AC/DC fundamentals, metrology, and digital devices). FRCC also offers an 80-hour intensive Energy Boost program for people with prior work experience to gain entry-level skills for employment at companies such as Vestas and Woodward.
Northeastern Junior College (Sterling) offers a two-year associate of applied science degree in wind energy technology that covers fundamentals of AC/DC, programmable logic controllers, power distribution and control systems, basic fluid power, as well as wind technician internship opportunities.
Pikes Peak Community College (Colorado Springs) has a two-year associate of applied science degree in natural resources that covers environmental geology, environmental policies and economics, ecosystem management, environmental issues and ethics, as well as internship opportunities.
Pueblo Community College offers a two-year associate of applied science degree in energy maintenance technology that includes coursework in mechanical, electrical, and solar maintenance.
Red Rocks Community College (Lakewood) offers the Renewable Energy Technology program providing degrees and certificates in solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind energy technology, energy audits, and energy efficiency.
