Colorado’s public colleges and universities provide a variety of degrees in cleantech research and development and new programs in green building, energy efficiency, and weatherization.

Aurora, Colorado is the site of the newly formed Ecotech Institute, the first two-year private college in the country focused exclusively on preparing graduates for careers in the rapidly growing fields of renewable energy, sustainable design, and energy efficiency.

The Colorado School of Mines (CSM) is the only university in the nation to offer baccalaureate through doctorate degrees in all key energy fields. CSM is home to the Colorado Energy Research Institute (CERI), which develops energy-related research and educational programs for government, industry, universities, and the public.
