  • Meet business colleagues
  • See Exhibits from manufactures, installers, educators, community leaders, clean energy advocates, environmental groups, and other members of the community.

Support for Community Wind across America comes from U.S. Department of Energy funding and national sponsor, Nordic WindPower. Colorado State Governor's Energy Office is a platinum sponsor for the Rocky Mountain Region event, which is also sponsored by North American Windpower, WindLogics and Western Area Power Administration.

What is Community Wind?

Community wind energy projects come in many shapes and sizes, all sharing significant elements of local ownership and participation (public or private). This new economic opportunity for rural communities can build support for renewable energy in general while maximizing the local economic benefits of wind energy development.

What is Small Wind?

Small Wind turbines have rated capacities of 100 kilowatts and less. They produce clean, emissions-free power for individual homes, farms, and small businesses. The U.S. leads the world in the production of small wind turbines and the market is expected to continue strong growth through the next decade.
