Metro Denver Site Selection Conference August 25-27

Nine national site selection consultants will converge upon Metro Denver for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation's (Metro Denver EDC) annual Site Selection Conference, August 25-27, 2010.

The conference is one of the Metro Denver EDC's most effective strategies for marketing Metro Denver's business attributes to site selectors and corporate real estate professionals, key decision makers in corporate relocations and expansions that bring new jobs to the region.

Activities on the site selector's agenda include an economic briefing at Coors Field by the Metro Denver EDC's Executive Vice President Tom Clark and an industry panel discussion with executives from AlloSource, Charles Schwab, RES Americas, and the United Launch Alliance.

The consultants will tour Metro Denver's and Northern Colorado's real estate by helicopter and will visit Comcast's Denver Media Center, Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. in Boulder, Vestas' blades and nacelles manufacturing campus in Brighton, and the Fitzsimons Life Science District and the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. On Thursday evening, they will have dinner with Governor Ritter and the region's top business leaders at the Denver Art Museum.

"Dollar for dollar, this is one of our most effective up-stream marketing strategies," says Clark. "Metro Denver is coming out of the recession faster than a majority of the country so there's never been a better time to acquaint site selectors with the companies, industries, infrastructure, and quality of life aspects of our region."

The business community can participate in the conference's final event, Making the Cut: Factors Driving Today's Site Selection Decisions, a Breakfast and Panel Discussion with National Site Selectors. The event takes place 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, August 27 at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.
