Metro Denver Site Selection Conf. planned for Sept. 28-30

Site SelectionTen national site selection consultants will converge upon the region for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation's (Metro Denver EDC) annual Metro Denver Site Selection Conference, September 28-30, 2011.

The conference is one of the Metro Denver EDC's most effective strategies for marketing Metro Denver's business attributes to site selectors and corporate real estate professionals, key decision makers in corporate relocations and expansions that bring new jobs to our region.

Activities on the site selectors' agenda include an Economic Briefing at Sports Authority Field at Mile High by the Metro Denver EDC's Executive Vice President Tom Clark and an Industry Overview by executives from MapQuest, Renewable Energy Systems (RES) Americas, and Sierra Nevada Space Systems.

The consultants will tour Metro Denver's and Northern Colorado's real estate by helicopter and visit Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Jefferson County, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, and Vestas' blades and nacelles manufacturing campus in Brighton. On Thursday evening, they will join the region's top business leaders for dinner at the Denver Art Museum.

"As the national economy continues to struggle, states are vying for new jobs and capital investment. Now is the perfect time for Metro Denver to get in front of these site selection consultants to better familiarize them with our dynamic industries, expanding infrastructure, and favorable quality of life," said Clark.

The business community can participate in the conference's final event, Making the Cut: Factors Driving Today's Site Selection Decisions, a breakfast and panel discussion with the attending site selectors on Friday, September 30, at the Denver Center for Performing Art's Seawell Ballroom. Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper will attend and provide remarks. For more information and to register, visit www.regonline.com/MetroDenver2011SiteSelection.
