Colorado companies rank on Newsweek green list
Eight companies ranked high on Newsweek's "Green Rankings 2010" list.
The magazine’s annual ranking, compiled with three environmental research organizations, rates companies on environmental impact, green policies and environmentally friendly reputation.
Broomfield-based packaging and aerospace company Ball is the highest rated Colorado-based corporation on the list.
Newsweek’s rankings of other Colorado companies out of 500 large U.S. corporations:
No. 81 — Ball Corporation
No. 160 — Molson Coors Brewing Co
No. 195 — Qwest Communications International
No. 333 — Liberty Global
No. 390 — Liberty Media Interactive
No. 420 — Newmont Mining
No. 429 — Dish Network
No. 343 — DaVita
No. 1 on the list nationwide is Dell, followed by Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Johnson & Johnson and Intel. Hewlett-Packard and IBM both have large Colorado presences.
