CCIA unveils winners of 2010 Cleantech Awards

The Colorado Cleantech Industry Association (CCIA) presented awards to eight recipients October 19 at its inaugural "Colorado Cleantech Awards Celebration," honoring leadership in advancing cleantech. The announcement is made by Christine Shapard, CCIA executive director who says, "Winners were selected by our Awards Committee from twenty finalists that emerged from a statewide call for nominations. The event, showcasing those companies and individuals who have made a significant impact on Colorado's cleantech industry during the past year, is being held at the Denver Marriott City Center."

Winners Include:

  • Political Advocate of the Year: Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr.Governor Ritter has built a New Energy Economy in Colorado, creating thousands of jobs, diversifying the state's energy portfolio, and making Colorado an internationally recognized leader in the manufacturing, production and research of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
